OUR SPECIAL GUEST TODAY IS DR. SANDRA ROBERTS, President of the Southeastern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Dr. Roberts has worked in the SECC since 1987, holding various positions including Chaplain at Loma Linda Academy, Associate Pastor of the Corona SDA Church, and Executive Secretary. We are honored to have her here today.

PASTOR GARY will continue his sermon series on classic Christian theology (the study of God) next Sabbath.

THE BINHI is a ministry dedicated to sharing the love of God through music. “Binhi” comes from the Filipino word for “seed.” A seed cannot grow unless it is cared for. We believe that without Jesus, the source of life, the “seed” that we are will never germinate. Thus, we are dependent upon Him in everything we do and we hope that through us, seeds of truth will germinate into a bountiful harvest.

A PATHFINDER CLOTHING DRIVE is underway to aid the victims who lost their belongings in the recent hurricanes. The due date has been extended by one week and so the Pathfinders are asking for clean or unused clothes to be donated by next Sabbath, September 30.

THE PATHFINDERS’ ANNUAL SEE’S CANDY FUNDRAISER has begun! The funds raised are vital to a successful Pathfinder year and contribute to everything from campouts to outreach programs. You may pick up an order form and payment envelope after church today to share with family and friends. All order forms and envelopes must be returned by October 21. Start the holidays off sweetly and help our Pathfinder Club in the process!

SECRET FRIENDS, sponsored by Hearts to Hearts, has started again. If you would like to create a new friendship or celebrate an old one, the Secret Friends program is a fun way to do it! The “Reveal Luncheon” will be on Sabbath, November 4, in the fellowship hall. Contact Colleen (619) 850-3299 or Esther (858) 692-7662 to sign up.

MIDWEEK FELLOWSHIP is currently in a bible study series titled Biblical Fools & Rascals.  This week our subject is Simon the Sorcerer. Come join the discussion on Tuesdays at 6 pm in the Board Room.

OUR PARENTS’ ROOM is in need of gently used children’s books, toys, and stuffed animals. If your children have outgrown theirs, we hope you will consider donating them to our parents’ room.

IF YOU NEED HELP with elder care, babysitting, errands, cooking, etc., please contact Angela Carralero at (619) 249-4778.
